In January, 2007 Allisia Kusz attended a trial for the Welsh National Gymnastics Squad, and was successful in gaining a place in the Senior Squad.
Allisia was selected, along with 5 other girls, to make up the Senior Team to travel to Northern Ireland to represent Wales at the Celtic Cup.
We attended the pre-competition training Camp at the Welsh Institute of Sport in Cardiff and then onto Bristol School of Gymnastics before flying out to Ireland with the junior and senior Mens’ and Womens’ teams. The competition was hosted by Salto Gymnastics Club, a new facility in Lisburn. The other teams competing were Scotland , Ireland and Northern Ireland.
The team were very successful and won all 4 championship trophies with Allisia finishing in a commendable 4 th position in her first international championship.
