Stacey Thompson and Beth Donaldson both passed their level 2 at Liverpool this weekend, qualifying them for the British Espoir Championships in June 2008. After a tense competition only 14 gymnasts in the country in age passed with 2 from South Durham - Stacey finished in an amazing 6 th position.

Welsh National Squad 2007
Allisia Kusz (14) has been selected for the Welsh National squad and was selected to represent Wales in the Celtic Cup. She finished in 4 th place in her first international.

Great Britain Start Squad
Lauren Anderson (11 yrs) is selected for the Great Britain Squad for 2007 following her success in two national competitions.

Regional Compulsory Levels 4,3 & 2 and Regional Grades 4, 3, 2, 1
South Durham take a succession of medals and North of England team placings at the regional competition on 4 th March. The 3 regional champions are Kelsey Garbutt (level 3), Beth Donaldson (level 2) and Sophie Willis (grade 3).

Challenge Cup Rushmoor - November 2006
Rebecca Conlon finishes 3 rd in the Espoir Championships and reaches the qualifying score to compete in the Espoir British Championships in 2007. (See report)

Heathrow Gymnastics Club Visit our Gym July 2006
The Heathrow Elite squad accompanied by Vince and Michelle flew up for a weekend visit and the girls were hosted by the SD gymnasts. A great time was had by all. The trip also coincided with a visit from the Prime Minister who was very impressed with all the girls.
