Birthday Parties
Your Party at South Durham Gymnastics Centre
We guarantee a memorable day with exclusive use of our fantastic Pink Gym for one whole hour, where our trained coaches will organise, amuse, supervise and instruct the children on all the apparatus, including the trampolines, foam filled pits and inflatables. Our coaches are experts at keeping the children engaged, safe, and challenged regardless of previous gymnastics experience, with fun and laughter filling the gym! Parents, relatives and friends can watch the antics unfold from the viewing gallery above!
On arrival, you can expect a meet, greet, and induction chat from our coaches. They will introduce themselves to the children and explain what they will be doing, along with the rules. This is very important as safety is paramount.
At the end of their gym time, the children will go upstairs to our South Durham Diner for a 30 minute tea party. This will consist of a cold buffet with a choice of Tuna, Ham or Cheese Sandwiches (2 out of 3), with a variety of sweet and savoury party foods and unlimited juice.
Parties are available on Saturday afternoons:
- 2.15pm - 3.45pm
- 3.15pm - 4.45pm
- 4.15pm - 5.45pm

Free Play / Pre-School Parties: 0 - 4 Years
Book a ‘free play’ party session where children can explore the gym and all its obstacles in a safe environment. All children attending the party must be accompanied by an adult who will help support throughout the party. Baby and toddler toys will also be available throughout the party.
During this party all adults within the gym are welcome to take photos.
Structured Parties: 5+ Years
Our fully structured parties give children the whole party experience along with all the challenges that come with gymnastics. After a series of games and warm up activities, the children will be split into smaller groups and taken around the pieces of apparatus with our coaches, allowing them to either practice their favourite gymnastics skills or to try something completely new. Within these parties parents can relax and watch the party from our viewing gallery located upstairs next to our South Durham Diner. The children even have access to our inflatables for the ultimate party experience.
During the above parties photos can be taken by the birthday child’s parents from inside of the gym, and from spectators on the balcony.
Additional Party Information
The price of the party is £225 for up to 25 children. A deposit of £100 will be taken on booking to secure the slot. The remainder of the balance is to be paid by cash to the Diner staff on the day of the party. (For parties over 25 there is a £5 per head surcharge, up to a max of 30 children.)
- Children must come appropriately dressed for an active session
- Parents must NOT participate within the session, only to support or gently play with children
- Cake, napkins and party bags are NOT provided in the South Durham Diner
Once booked, party deposits are non-refundable and non-transferrable.
Please Note
All guests and younger siblings/family members remain the responsibility of the parent/host and not South Durham Gymnastics staff.
Food and drink are not permitted in the gymnastics hall, and all outdoor footwear must be removed before entering the gym (children must also remove their socks/tights).
South Durham Gymnastics cater for attendees with disabilities.
If there are any children with Down's Syndrome within your party please do make us aware as far in advance as possible (at least a month prior). This is to do with additional risks of Atlanto-Axial Instability (AAI) and requires additional information as set by British Gymnastics. In addition, we are required by British Gymnastics, for those with Down's Syndrome to hold basic insurance with British Gymnastics and that can be accessed via their website here.
