On Monday 21st November, the Leisure Centre will begin its Transformation Project. The project will involve moving the reception area to a centralised location within the building, relocation of the town library to within the leisure centre and upgrading the pool space.
This means that from Monday 21st November, people accessing South Durham Gymnastics will be unable to access the Gym from the main Leisure Centre entrance for approximately 7 months. During this time, our members and visitors will need to enter and exit the Gym via our side fire door (behind Wetherspoons).
For people who trained without throughout the height of the pandemic, you will be used to this access point. For the newer members of the Club - please refer to this map which highlights the walkway from the main car park, to the fire door. (Additional signage will also be placed around the building to guide you to the new entry point).
Every member under the age of 18 will need to be collected by a responsible adult within the Gymnastics Centre; we will not permit anyone to leave the building unaccompanied unless they have completed and returned a permission to leave form. This is to ensure the safety of our members, we hope you understand.
