South Durham Gymnastics Centre is currently closed. The Centre will remain closed whilst County Durham remains in Tier 4.
All Squad & Recreational classes (Gymnastics, Trampolining, Pre-School) are currently paused and will resume once the Centre is able to reopen.

Lockdown 1.0 was one of the biggest challenges we have faced in our long history - costing the club £1000’s in fixed costs whilst closed, with no income generation. Months of planning and preparations, and a week of hard work / training by Team Pink in the gym, and we are ready to welcome back our Squad Gymnasts... 165 days since we closed our doors on Thursday 19th March.
Recreational sessions will resume the week commencing Monday 14th September 2020; our class pages (Pre-School, Gymnastics, Boys Gladiators & Trampolining) have been updated to reflect the Club's new class timetable.

Following on from the Government’s latest update (10.05.2020), we know that our doors will remain closed for some time to come.
Keeping safe at home is necessary, but we want you all to know that we’re missing our time together in the gym.
The SDG Office will remain closed for the time being, but emails are being monitored.

Supporting the 2.6 Challenge!

South Durham Gymnastics are delighted to be supporting the 2.6 Challenge!
The Covid-19 pandemic has had a devastating effect on UK charities, with the cancellation of thousands of events and the loss of billions in fundraising income.
The 2.6 Challenge will launch on Sunday 26th April – what should have been the date of the 40th London Marathon, the world’s biggest one-day annual fundraising event.

COVID-19 Update (19.03.20) - Gym Closure

It is with a very heavy heart, South Durham Gymnastics have made the very difficult decision to close its doors for the foreseeable future, effective from 5.30pm today (Thursday 19th March 2020).
These are very uncertain times for the Club and its dedicated team of staff. As a Charity, South Durham are unable to access any of the business loans and grants that have been announced by the Chancellor.

South Durham Gymnastics (SDG) have followed guidelines from the Government and have had discussions with Durham County Council and British Gymnastics – and at this stage we have not been asked to close.
Naturally, after today’s decision to close schools from Friday, we are reviewing this and are continuing to take all of the necessary advice.

Following on from our communication yesterday, South Durham Gymnastics would like to issue a further update. This afternoon, Durham County Council announced the closure of all of their Leisure Facilities as from tomorrow (Thursday 19th March). HOWEVER, as an independent organisation, it has been confirmed that we are able to remain open and operative. Following on from the Government’s latest updates, we would like to confirm that South Durham Gymnastics will remain open and all sessions will continue to run as normal, unless advised otherwise by British Gymnastics or Public Health England. Amid the public concerns re: COVID-19 we would like to provide an update from South Durham Gymnastics (SDG).
