Lockdown 1.0 was one of the biggest challenges we have faced in our long history - costing the club £1000’s in fixed costs whilst closed, with no income generation. Whilst we hope lockdown 2.0 will be much shorter, the Club are still facing ongoing costs and we would love your support to help raise funds whilst we are closed.
As we are a Charity, we have signed up to Amazon Smile, meaning that you can help raise funds for the Club just by shopping through Amazon - at no additional cost to you!

What is Amazon Smile?
Amazon Smile is a website operated by Amazon. It features the same products at the same prices as the standard Amazon site… the only difference is, when you shop on Amazon Smile, the Amazon Smile Foundation will donate 0.5% of the cost of all eligible products to your chosen charity.

If you’ve already got an Amazon account, simply log in to your account and search ‘South Durham Gymnastics’ in the ‘pick your own charity’ search bar on the right-hand side of the screen. Click to accept us as your chosen charity and you’re ready to start shopping!

Are prices higher on Amazon Smile?
Absolutely not! You’ll be able to shop the same products, at the same prices. It doesn’t cost you a penny more.
How do I shop using Amazon Smile?
To shop at Amazon Smile, simply visit smile.amazon.co.uk on your computer, mobile or tablet.
If you want to donate to SDG when you shop, it’s important that you always shop through smile.amazon.co.uk, rather than the main Amazon site.
How to use Smile on the Amazon App
If you use the Amazon app, there are two ways to shop using Amazon Smile.
Enabling Amazon Smile:
- Ensure you have the latest version of the Amazon app installed
- Open the Amazon app and click on Settings in the main menu
- Click on the Amazon Smile link
- Follow the on-screen instructions
Alternatively, there is this method below that can be used each time you make a purchase:
- Shop on the Amazon app, and add your chosen items to your basket (just as you normally would do)
- Before you head to the checkout, switch to smile.amazon.co.uk on your mobile browser to finish and pay. You’ll be able to access all your goods in your basket.
