For lots of children last week many of them have said their final goodbyes to Fiona as she leaves the pink gym to continue on her journey with Darlington Gymnastics club. For all of us here at team pink goodbyes are just not possible and it was more of a 'see you soon' kind of day...her role over the past 16 years has influenced both gymnasts and coaches supporting them in all ways possible and over the past year even though her hours have reduced her support to push our younger coaches has only[..]

South Durham Gymnastics were very proud to have Ellie, Charlotte and Harriet qualify for the British NDP championships this month where the 3 girls travelled down to Stoke for the weekend to compete against gymnasts from all over the country on range, vault, bars, beam and floor.
Ellie competed on the Saturday and did an amazing job in NDP 3, with just one small error on bars but otherwise showing beautiful and mature routines! Onwards and upwards now with the big skills to work on back in th[..]

Team pink would like to say a huge CONGRATULATIONS to Georgia who has recently completed her pre-school course and has passed her exam meaning she is now a qualified pre-school coach! We are looking forward to seeing what else she and our other young coaches are getting up to in the coming months with lots of them currently going through coaching courses![..]

Super proud of all our beautiful Pink Ladies who competed in the North of England Regional Grades at the beginning of May!! You were all fantastic and performed some stunning routines.

The competition was held at City of Newcastle Gymnastics Academy where our gymnasts competed alongside a number of other clubs from around the region performing set routines on range, vault, bars, beam and floor. After another great national squad for Mia and Leah we have some exciting news . Mia had been invited as a guest for this squad which in itself is a huge honour . Our Head National Coach, Amanda Reddin announced in line up that following the British and English they had noticed that Mia had upgraded her routines and gone for the harder routines in competition. Mercedes Moore competed at the National Compulsory Level 2 this weekend in Stoke and after battling an ankle injury for numerous weeks Mercedes had a fantastic competition. She started off on bars where she had a fabulous clean routine, hitting all her handstands and precise turns, she then moved over to beam where she only had one mistake but managed to carry on her routine cleanly.
