On Saturday we held a fundraising sleepover in the Pink Gym as a start for our new fundraising campaign to replace all of the foam in our pits! All girls had a really fun time with games, karaoke and a film before bed![..]

Excellent weekend at Lilleshall National Sports Centre for Mercedes and Josie as they attended their 2nd National Talent Development Squad. Both girls worked very hard over the 2 days as well as making lots of new friends with gymnasts from all over the country! Looking forward to their next one already![..]

On Sunday 16th July we hosted the Summer Classic 2017 which is an annual competition held between South Durham Gymnastics and Redcar Gymnastics Club. The competition saw all of our general, intermediate and advanced squad girls compete a set routine on the floor and also two vaults each. All girls competed fantastically and we came away with 16 overall champions! Special well done to our winners:

Sunday 25th June saw the return of the Pink Events Team Championships competition held right here at South Durham Gymnastics Club. The competition had gymnasts from South Durham, Gymtopia, Northern Hope, Tyneside and Wansbeck compete in teams across different levels from 1 to 7, with 5 girls from each team showing a floor routine and a vault and the highest 4 scores counting towards the team total.

Huge well done to budding coach Jade Armstrong! Our former GB international gymnast has just passed her level 2 Women's Artistic coaching exam!

Jade has been a #pinklady since she was 2 years old and after a very successful gymnastics career she is now passing on her wealth of knowledge and experience to the next generation of stars![..]

Massive congratulations to Emily Gargan who has been selected to represent Great Britain in the European Junior Championships in the triple jump event!

Emily spent many years training with our elite squad and on retirement from gymnastics thrust herself straight into athletics to pursue her dream of competing for GB!

A jam packed weekend of competition for our Intermediate and General Squad gymnasts as they competed in the Pink Events 2 Piece Championships.
The competition started off on Saturday at Wansbeck Gymnastics Club where we had 12 girls entered in rounds 1 and 2. The girls all had to perform individual routines with compulsory skills included as well as 2 vaults each.
